“Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home.” - Edith Sitwell

Wonderful things to read can make the cold weather seem less a burden and more a good excuse to stay inside. Luckily, publishers will lavish us with new offerings from much-loved authors over the next couple of months, perfectly timed to lengthen our reading lists for the cold days ahead. The titles below are just some of the new books you’ll find at the Library this winter. If there is a book you’re anticipating but don’t find on this list, simply request it from the Acquisitions Department by filling out a request slip at the Circulation Desk or log in to our website and use the Suggest a Purchase form. We love to hear from you - share your thoughts on these or other titles you’re looking forward to reading in the comments below. Happy Reading!  —Steven McGuirl & Patrick Rayner, Acquisitions
