Coin Chaos

2014 Third & Fourth Grade Poetry Winner

In the big red coat
Was a pocket
All four of us
Cold
Small
Circles of metal
Stuck inside

We jumped out
And fell on the floor
She reached for us
I rolled away
Come
With
Me.

Down the hill we go
We gripped the floor with our
Small grooves
Liberty was near
Just like what it said on us
We were free

Out the bank floor
Even out the door
Then
We
Stopped.

Coin chaos was
Here.
