My baptism dress is a bright pearl

smooth,

white,

and beautiful.

Delicate patterns

embrace

the clean white edges.

Buttons rest on the cotton

sleeping,

Only waking up when

warm

fingers join them together.

White ribbon

weaves

Through the lace

like waves

in the sea.
