Brockholst Livingston
Biography
Henry Brockholst Livingston (1757-1823) was a New York City attorney at 15 Smith Street. He served as an aide-de-camp to General Philip Schuyler during the American Revolution and attained the rank of Colonel. In 1779, he was the private secretary for John Jay, the new Minister to the Court at Madrid. Livingston was admitted to the bar in 1783. He also served as a judge of the Circuit Court of the United States.

Brockholst Livingston served as a trustee of the New York Society Library from 1789 to 1796.
