The Library has survived for over 250 years through the generosity of our members and friends. A critical 15% of our annual budget is supplied by donations. Membership dues and endowment income make up the rest. Your contribution will go directly to support staff salaries, more places for reading, research, and writing in our landmark building, and perhaps most importantly, the growth and preservation of our treasured book and periodical collections and increasing access to electronic resources.
To make a credit-card contribution in support of our activities, click on the "Make a Donation" button below. You will be directed to our PayPal page; PayPal is a widely-used secure site for Internet transactions. (Please note that the IRS has ruled that creditcard gifts are deductible only in the year the bank processes the transaction.)
Mail donations should be sent to New York Society Library, 53 East 79th Street, New York, NY 10075, Attn: Development Office.
For information about how to donate stock or to make bequests, please contact Diane Srebnick at 212-288-6900 ext. 214 or by email: development@nysoclib.org.
