Books and Bites: The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman

Wednesday, January 25, 2017 - 5:30 PM | For members and their guests in grades 6-8 | Whitridge Room | $5 per child, payable at the door; advance registration required

This event has been cancelled. Growing up is hard to do, especially when you live in a graveyard. Bod learns all he needs to know from the ghosts, vampires, and ghouls that inhabit his unique home. When trouble finds him, he must rise to the occasion and protect himself and all that he holds dear.

Read The Graveyard Book on your own, then join a librarian for a discussion about the book, families, growing up, and the spooky things that go bump in the night. Light snacks will be served.

The Graveyard Book was the 2009 Newbery Award winner, and also won the Carnegie Award and the Hugo Award for Best Fantasy Novel.

This program is generously funded by Richard Peck.
