Chris Raschka: Home at Last

Come celebrate inventive and inspired storytelling with award-winning author-illustrator Chris Raschka. Winner of two Caldecott Medals and a longtime Library member, Raschka will share how he creates his stories and art.

Chris Raschka received the Caldecott Medal in 2012 for A Ball for Daisy and in 2006 for The Hello, Goodbye Window. This fall, his latest collaboration, Home at Last, which he made with the late Vera B. Williams, was released to much acclaim. He has also written and/or illustrated more than sixty other books including Charlie Parker Played Be Bop, the Caldecott Medal Honor Book Yo! Yes?, and Everyone Can Learn to Ride a Bicycle. In addition, several of his books have been honored by the New York Times Book Review, School Library Journal, and the Horn Book.
