Augmented by over 200 full-color illustrations and a foreword by Sir David Attenborough, this book is a fascinating exploration of the dawn of natural history’s golden age of color. In his discussion of the book, Robert Peck shares stories of Lear’s warm humor, extensive travels, and many friends, and show captivating images of his extravagant gifts as an artist.
