NYSL KIDS: Paula Danziger

Paula Danziger decided to be a writer at age seven, and has written over thirty books, including The Cat Ate My Gymsuit, P.S. Longer Letter Later, and the popular Amber Brown and Matthew Martin series. Praised by critics and readers for her realistic, sympathetic characters, Danziger received a Parent's Choice Award, an International Reading Association--Children's Book Council Award, and many other honors. A Library member from 1998 to 2004, Paula Danziger died in July 2004. Danziger spoke at the Library in November 2002, captivating her audience with stories of her travels and writing.
