Doris Orgel
Doris Orgel has translated and retold many fairy and folk
tales, translated books by other authors, as well as written picture
books, chapter books and novels for young adults. Her first original
book is Sarah's Room (1963), illustrated by Maurice Sendak.
She is best known for her novel
The Devil in Vienna based on her childhood experiences in 1930's Austria.
