she is hidden by a mask of white feathers
and the anger is possessed by love
brushstrokes blend the two forms together
and the moment is suspended in time
Freddie Lewis Turner, 24, of Rt. 2
Snow Camp, died at his home
Sunday at 4:40 am following a
lengthy illness.
dust collects on mildewed walls
the rats sniff old crumbs, hungry
the cold night air consumes the rickety house
cobwebs conceal the musty canvas
the cigarette butt is dim at first
but then becomes a grand conflagration devouring everything in its path
and the white ashes glide through the air once more
