Chris Raschka won the 2006 Caldecott Medal for
The Hello, Goodbye Window
(written by Norton Juster). The Caldecott Medal is given annually by the American
Library Association to the illustrator of the most distinguished American picture
book for children, and it is considered the highest honor in that field. Raschka has
also written or illustrated more than thirty other books including
Charlie Parker
Played Be Bop and the Caldecott Honor book
Yo! Yes?. Several of his books have
been honored with New York Times awards for the Best Illustrated Book of the Year.
