    NEW CLASS! Learn how to choose passwords, detect secure websites and avoid common scams in your day-to-day transactions on the Internet.

  • 2:00 PM   •   Ancestry.com: Genealogy on the Internet   •   (Matt Haugen)   •  
    NEW CLASS! This beginner class will demonstrate Ancestry.com and some other basic online tools and strategies to build a family tree, search historical records, and uncover your family history online.

    NEW CLASS! Explore the sites and tools to find and watch movies, television and video clips on the Internet. This workshop will cover: YouTube, Hulu, Veoh, Amazon, Netflix and Roku.

  • 2:00 PM   •   Facebook and Twitter   •   (Matt Haugen)   •  
    NEW CLASS! This beginner class will introduce Facebook and Twitter, two popular social networking websites. Learn the basics of how to start an account, manage your privacy and security, and communicate with friends, family, fans, and followers. The Library's own Facebook and Twitter pages will also be demonstrated.

    Google Docs include word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and forms. In this class, learn how to create, edit, and share documents online using the free Google Documents tool.

  • 2:00 PM   •   Citations made simple: managing your research online   •   (Heather Paulson)   •  
    NEW CLASS! Learn how to organize your research and citations by using an online tool called Zotero. The workshop will get you set up, show you the basics of adding to and maintaining resources in your personal database, and show you how to automatically create bibliographies in your desired style (APA, MLA, etc) directly from your account.
