Betty Kelly Sargent has been a Trustee of the New York Society Library since 2010.

BIOGRAPHY:
Betty Kelly Sargent is a veteran book and magazine editor who writes, co-authors, and edits both fiction and nonfiction, as well as packaging nonfiction titles for a variety of publishers. She is the co-author of six published works, including The Program: The Brain Smart Approach to the Healthiest You, with Kelly Traver, MD. (Simon & Schuster, 2010) and The "I" Diet with Susan Roberts, PhD (Workman Press, 2008). Ms. Sargent was formerly editor-in-chief of William Morrow, Executive Editor at Large at HarperCollins, Fiction and Book Editor at Cosmopolitan Magazine, a CNN Live Book Reviewer, and Senior Acquiring Editor at Delacorte Press. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan and is a graduate of the Radcliffe Publishing Workshop, New York School of Interior Design, the Gemological Institute of America, and the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching. Ms. Sargent is a member of The Century Association, PEN, Author’s Guild, Book Table, and the Independent Editors Group.
