"Don't you love New York in the fall? It makes me want to buy school supplies. I would send you a bouquet of newly sharpened pencils if I knew your name and address.” - Nora Ephron

Fall is approaching and what better way to enjoy the foliage but with a book and a pumpkin spiced latte, or mystery novel and a glass of wine, to each their own. We're excited to share our Fall 2024 list of upcoming titles. From the highly anticipated latest from Charles Baxter, Blood Test: A Comedy, to Ben Okri's latest collection of poetry, Wild: Poems. Coming in October, acquisitions are excited about a newly discovered and translated jewel of a story from the Nobel laureate, Günter Grass' The Living Statue: A Legend. Also hitting the shelves in October, NPR's How Women Made Music: A Revolutionary History from NPR Music. Publisher's Weekly described How Women Made Music as, " a buoyant, welcome ode to some of the most influential songstresses of the 20th and 21st centuries" and library is ecstatic to add it to our collection. For a more complete account of our recent acquisitions this summer, check out New Books, a list published at the beginning of every month and available on the website or at the Circulation Desk. Check out our Recommended Books if you're stumped or interested in what our staff members have been reading. If there is something you're looking forward to reading, but don't find in our catalog, simply request it from the Acquisitions Department by filling out a request slip at the Circulation Desk or log in to your account and use the Suggest a Purchase form.
