Thank You

Sunday, December 31, 2017

To each and every one of you who has supported the Library this year with a contribution, thank you!

There is the seven-year-old philanthropist who sold homemade bread to raise money for his favorite Library. A very new member who found a home at the Library in a writing group. An acclaimed author who wants to give back. The Hornblower Room denizens who value the congenial workspace and their quiet co-workers. The tea-timers who enjoy the midday break with their fellow members and guests. The families who come by on chilly weekends and get crafty at our Creation Station. The lifelong learners who are expanding their knowledge through our reading seminars and lectures. The readers who find surprises and treasures in our more-than-300,000-volume book collection. The list goes on.

The individual reasons why you have made a donation are important to us, and I am reminded daily of just how much the Library means to people. Your support this year was simply extraordinary, and your generosity means that we will be able to continue to improve and expand our high-quality programming and services in this beautiful, welcoming environment, with a committed staff who care deeply about serving the needs of our members and guests.

From all of us at the Library, thank you so very much! We wish you all a very happy and healthy New Year!
