Kate Feiffer is a writer, filmmaker, and a mother. She is the author of nine books for children, including Double Pink,The Problem with the Puddles, and Signed by Zelda. She has collaborated with her father, Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist Jules Feiffer, on several picture books including Henry, the Dog with No Tail and No Go Sleep! Her other books include President Pennybaker and My Mom is Trying to Ruin My Life, which has been adapted as a musical for the stage.

Feiffer's books have received several honors, including a Children's Choice Book Award from the Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia. Her first novel for children, The Problem with The Puddles, was honored by the Children's Book Committee at Bank Street College.
