Elizabeth Bluemle, How Do You Wokka-Wokka?

Friday, April 8, 2016 - 4:00 PM | For Members and Their Guests ages 3 and up | $5 per person, payable at the door. Registration required.

Do you like to wokka-wokka? What? You don’t know how to wokka-wokka?! Well, then, it’s time to learn. Come join the fun when author Elizabeth Bluemle teaches this silly dance and accompanying song featured in her book How Do You Wokka-Wokka? Participants will also help the author—and a special guest drummer—create an April shower in the Library with her latest story, Tap Tap Boom Boom. Both titles celebrate life in the city with family and friends from all over the town.Elizabeth Bluemle

Elizabeth Bluemle is the author of several picture books. After working as a teacher and librarian in New York City for many years, she moved to Vermont and opened a bookstore on a whim. She earned her MFA in Creative Writing for Children and Young Adults at Vermont College. Her favorite thing in the world is to talk with kids about books and see their faces light up with enthusiasm and delight.

Advance registration is required. To register, contact the Children's Library at 212.288.6900 x234 or children@nysoclib.org.
