AT EVENT TIME, CLICK HERE TO JOIN. (Free Zoom Meetings software recommended.)

Join Library staff and friends from two of New York City's great independent bookstores for an informal chat in honor of National Book Month. We'll be talking about bookstores and libraries, what readers are interested in now, and what's recommended and coming up. Bring your own questions!

Our special guests:

Lexi Beach from the Astoria Bookshop on 31st Street in Queens. The Astoria Bookshop is a general-interest bookstore in the heart of Western Queens. It opened in 2013, with a mission to serve the most diverse county on the planet through a carefully curated selection and a robust schedule of (now virtual) events.

Nick Chase from the Corner Bookstore on Madison Avenue at 93rd Street. The Corner Bookstore became an instant mecca for a book-hungry Carnegie Hill when it opened in 1978. Located in a landmark neighborhood in New York City, we have been satisfying the literary desires of this residential neighborhood for over three decades.
