Add Your Voice to the Library's COVID-19 Community Archive

The Library is launching a new project to document members’ lives during this COVID-19 outbreak. We encourage and invite members to document their personal experiences and contribute them to the Library’s COVID-19 Community Archive.

We each have a unique way of handling this crisis. Many of us are taking walks and taking pictures, capturing our environs and our lives in a very interesting moment. Some of us are journaling, drawing, writing poems or short stories, and coming up with inventive ways to spend the long days. The Library invites you to document this time and submit files to this Community Archive. You can send along a photo and accompanying story, create a description of how you’re spending your days, or even snap a photo of a journal entry or an art project you’ve worked on.

We also want to share your stories and experiences in real time. With permission, the Library will select stories to highlight in a gallery on City Readers, our digital humanities database. All contributors will have the opportunity to select whether they would like to participate in this initiative.

The Library is accepting contributions for the duration of this outbreak. Please send in your submissions at any time. Multiple submissions are welcome.
