Chris Raschka: The Art of Storytelling

Come celebrate inventive and inspired storytelling with award-winning author-illustrator Chris Raschka. Winner of two Caldecott Medals and a longtime Library member, Raschka will share how he creates his stories and art, encouraging participants to perform favorite scenes.

Chris Raschka received the Caldecott Medal in 2012 for A Ball for Daisy and in 2006 for The Hello, Goodbye Window. He has also written and/or illustrated more than sixty other books including Charlie Parker Played Be Bop, the Caldecott Medal Honor Book Yo! Yes?, and Everyone Can Learn to Ride a Bicycle. In addition, several of his books have been honored by the New York Times Book Review, School Library Journal, and the Horn Book.
