Five poets have been meeting at the Library for the past four years in one of our writing groups.
The Library's subscription to the Recorded Books OneClickdigital database provides members with access to over 1,000 unabridged audiobooks. Mostly children's and young adult titles, the collection also offers nearly 200 classic novels by authors such as Jane Austen, Joseph Conrad, Charles Dickens, George Eliot, Edith Wharton, and Henry James. To browse our holdings, click here. All titles may be downloaded to portable listening devices.
Audiobook downloads will appear in Library catalog searches, but you will need to click through to the OneClickdigital site to download them. If you are downloading audiobooks remotely, log in to the Library's web site first. With your first use, you are required to create a free OneClickdigital account and download the OneClick Media Manager. This takes only a few minutes. The loan period for these audiobooks is three weeks, at which point they will will automatically disappear from your computer and portable devices.
Once on the OneClickdigital web page, you may click on Help for tutorials and frequently asked questions including a detailed twenty-minute video that will walk you through the steps. For instructions on borrowing audiobooks, click here or ask a librarian at the Reference Desk. A handout from a recent Library tech workshop on accessing audiobooks is available here.
