Andrew Spooner, The Living History of World War One

Sunday, February 2, 2014 - 3:00 PM | Open to the Public | Members' Room | $10 with advance registration; $15 at the door

This unique event brings together Spooner’s knowledge of the Western Front with a visual and hands-on presentation on the real lives of soldiers in the trenches. Using original photography of historic sites, a small collection of artifacts including samples of uniforms and personal equipment, and readings from poetry and letters, he brings fresh vividness to the past world of a century ago. As part of our observance of the Great War centennial, the Library is proud to offer this special educational and commemorative afternoon.
