The Library hosts writing groups for members working on fiction, general non-fiction, memoir, poetry, and children's/young adult. Spaces are now available for writers working in any of those genres. Writing groups are for Library members. If interested, please contact writers@nysoclib.org with the following:

• which genre you're interested in
• a 6-to-7-page sample of your work in progress (or 4-5 poems) formatted in Times New Roman 12-point font, double-spaced, with one-inch margins. Leave your name off the sample; groups make blind evaluations about acceptance based on the writing alone.

Our small groups meet monthly, on Zoom or in person.
