Adam Platt is a staff writer for New York magazine and worked for many years as the magazine’s restaurant critic. He’s written for many publications, including The New Yorker (staff Talk of the Town writer), The New York Observer (columnist), Esquire, and Condé Nast Traveler, where he was a contributing editor for many years. He is the winner (many years ago) of the James Beard award for restaurant criticism, and the author of the memoir The Book of Eating, published by Ecco Press in 2019.
