Writing Life Poetry Workshop: Come Write Poems for National Poetry Month, with Esther Cohen

Thursday, April 7, 2022 - 2:00 PM | on the Zoom Meetings platform | open to the public; free for members | separate sessions | registration required

"Poetry is a deal of joy and pain and wonder, with a dash of the dictionary." -Khalil Gibran

Join us to write poems. Every week we will read and write using prompts and examples from some wonderful poets including Lucille Clifton, Pablo Neruda, Naomi Shihab Nye, and Sonia Sanchez. We will write the poems we’ve always intended to write.

This workshop meets in three separate sessions, April 7, 14, and 21. Register once to attend any or all sessions.

Free for Library members; $15 for the set of three sessions for nonmembers. Members may register below; nonmembers may contact the events office at events@nysoclib.org.

Esther Cohen is a writer and poet in New York City. She also teaches and is a cultural activist. Most days she posts a poem at esthercohen.com.

The Writing Life events in 2022 are generously underwritten by Jenny Lawrence.
