In this ongoing series, young writers are invited to join notable writers in exploring different genres. In this workshop cartoonist Dave Roman will lead a discussion about graphic novels and work with students to explore visual storytelling and develop unique characters.

Dave Roman is the author/illustrator of Astronaut Academy: Zero Gravity, writer of Teen Boat! and Agnes Quill: An Anthology of Mystery and is the co-author of two New York Times bestselling graphic novels, X-Men: Misfits and The Last Airbender: Zuko’s Story. He also worked as a comics editor for the groundbreaking Nickelodeon Magazine.
