Primary Stages, Primary Previews Drama Seminar

Thursday, April 11, 2013 - 5:00 PM | Whitridge Room | Open to the Public

This four-session seminar offers an advance look at the Primary Stages 2013-14 season of exciting plays by Chad Beguelin, Charles Busch, Eric Simonson, and more. Each night of the seminar is dedicated to reading and discussing an upcoming play with dramaturg Tessa LaNeve, Director of the Einhorn School of Performing Arts and New Arts Programming at Primary Stages. Participants will take apart the texts, conjure their dream casts, discuss design and production elements, and place these four plays within the larger landscape of American theater.

Primary Stages was founded in 1984 as a not-for-profit theater company with the mission of producing new plays and fostering the artistic development of emerging and established playwrights. The company has given life to more than 90 new plays, many of them world premieres, helping to create a library of new works for the American theater. More information on Primary Stages and the upcoming plays is available at www.primarystages.org.

Thursdays, April 11, April 18, April 25, and May 2

All four sessions (recommended): $50
